Beta Chi Theta National Fraternity, Inc.

The Six Pillars Society

Welcome to The Six Pillars Society

Within 15 years we’ve expanded to 25+ chapters and molded over 1,300 young boys into gentlemen. And we’ve just begun! As the Fraternity grows exponentially, we’ve reached a crucial crossroads in our young existence. We are quickly becoming a more mature organization, one that can strongly enhance the life-enriching and sometimes life-changing Beta Chi experience we’ve provided to so many already. Notice the word ‘can’ in the previous sentence, whether we do or not depends on our most important resources: you, our alumni.

And thus the National Board of Beta Chi Theta is proud to present The Six Pillars Society. Our organization was built upon the six pillars that have deeply and positively affected all of us. And so we invite each and every alumnus to financially support the mission to uphold our pillars. Alumni are in an invaluable position: with your help we can ensure Beta Chi Theta becomes an institution in the South Asian community and the most elite fraternity in the nation, not just for the next 15 years but for the next 150 years.

Why should you join?

Being a brother of Beta Chi Theta means that upon joining, one gains lifelong membership. We hope that you agree that lifelong membership involves an everlasting desire to improve the fraternal experience that was a defining aspect of our college education (and hopefully beyond!). By joining The Six Pillars Society, alumni can re-affirm their commitment to our goals: creating and maintaining a strong, close-knit brotherhood, honoring tradition, actively pursuing service to humanity, increasing South Asian awareness, promoting academic excellence, and building a unified nationwide network.

Your financial gifts will help National Board to launch and maintain programs to provide an ever-improving fraternal experience not just to our undergraduate brothers (current and future) but also to our alumni brothers. (Details regarding our inaugural funds can be found under ‘Funds’.)

What can you expect?

The National Board understands the great responsibility of such a program. The National Board has set up a system of accountability. Expect to get timely financial statements, prepared by the Vice President of Financial Affairs. Furthermore, you will receive reports detailing how your gifts have contributed to our organizations. In addition, as an token of our appreciation, we have set up a tiered system, which each tier offering national recognition of your contributions and a unique gift.

  • National General Fund

The National Board would like to set up a General Fund, for the all purpose and general operations of the fraternity. This fund will be used at the discretion of the National Board for whatever and wherever money is needed the most.

These areas can include, but are not limited to, funding internal fraternal requirements, assisting in covering additionally incurred National Convention costs, providing financial assistance to struggling chapters/colonies/regions, funding regional activities, and anything else deemed necessary.

For any specific concerns or questions, please contact the National Vice President of Financial Affairs, Pathik Patel, at vp.finance@betachitheta.com.

  • National IT Infrastructure Fund

Our Grand Fraternity has been quite fortunate to have its incipient stages occur as the internet exploded. In comparison to traditional Greek organizations, we have seen a very impressive growth: 25 chapters and 1,200+ brothers in 15 years. Much credit can be accorded to modern technology, enabling us to connect with each other and prospective members in a way that was not possible centuries or even decades ago.

However the internet has been growing and changing at a pace that makes our growth look sluggish in comparison. Gone are the days where brothers could invest their own time and raise state-of-the-art websites and members-only portals. To utilize technology successfully as a non-profit organization means to invest financially in our IT infrastructure.

National Board, spearheaded by the efforts of the National Vice President of Records, has several projects lined up, including, but not limited to:

    • New National Website
    • New National Store
    • Revamped Brothers Only
    • Chapter Website Management System

With your gifts, we can ensure that Beta Chi Theta once again becomes a powerhouse in using technology in the Greek community. For any specific concerns or questions (including details regarding projects), please contact the National Vice President of Records, Janam Jhaveri at vp.records@betachitheta.com.

  • National Exposure Fund

The National Exposure Fund is a fund that National Board would like to set up to fund and sponsor our national exposure and marketing efforts. These efforts would help with the advancement, expansion, and increased awareness of Beta Chi Theta National Fraternity, Inc around the country.

The Exposure Fund would help finance sponsorship of events around the country that would help get Beta Chi Theta’s name out. These events can include, but will not be limited to, philanthropic events, professional events, culture shows, and performances. The fund would also help finance official marketing material, such as rush videos, BHD promo videos, fliers, t-shirts and other materials deemed fit.

For any specific concerns or questions, please contact the National Vice President of External Affairs, Samarth Shah at vp.external@betachitheta.com.

  • National Leadership Grants

Students choose to become Beta Chi brothers to gain opportunities to be leaders. The National Board would like to set up a grant fund, through which we may allow Undergraduates to attend events such as the NIC Congressional Visits, and the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) hosted by the NIC.

For our inaugural year, we hope to award two students to each, NIC and UIFI. These students will first apply for these opportunities, which will be reviewed by National Board, and finally reviewed by the respective groups (NIC and UIFI) before being selected. National Board would use the funding to support these students on their trips by providing travel expenses, and accommodations.

For specific information regarding the NIC Congressional Visits and the UIFI Seminars, please read more at www.nicindy.org/programs. For any specific concerns or questions (including details regarding selection process), please contact the National President, Prashant Kher, at national.president@betachitheta.com.
